Voltage Regulator Circuit Using LM 317 IC

Introduction:

This Project is “Voltage Regulator Project”.This Circuit is Regulate The Maximum Voltage Into Maximum to Minimum Voltage. This Circuit is Very Simple to Make and Understand. This Project is Used Charge Different Types Batteries in Different Voltage. This Circuit Board’s Cost is 70 Rupees Only.

Circuit Diagram:

Working:

In This Circuit,We Used LM 317 Voltage Regulator IC.This IC Regulate The Input Voltage Into Various Voltage. We Give Input Voltage In 3rd Pin Of The IC and Get Output Voltage in 1st Pin of The IC.Then 2nd Pin of The IC is Adjusment Pin.I Will Give The Pinout Diagram Of The IC and Check It That.I Used Potentiometer To Regulate The Voltage. If You Used The Resistor As per Becoming Formula,You Can Get The Constant Voltage You Want.

LM 317 IC Voltage Output Formula

The output voltage Vout is dependent on external resistor values R1 and R2, according to the following equation:

In My Circuit,I Used Ras a 470Ω RP1 as a 10KΩ Potentiometer. If Give Input Voltage as a 14 Volt Input,We Get Output Voltage In Range Between 1.5 Volt To 12 Volt.We Used 470µF/25volt Capacitor Connected Parallally Between Input And Output Voltage. It Gives The Pure Wave Output For The Battery Charging And Any Other Purpose.

Note:

Use The Quality Heat Sink For The IC.If We Use The LM 317 Without Heat Sink,Thus The IC was Damaged.
