Continuity Tester Circuit

Introduction:

This Project Is “How to Make A Continuity Tester” Using BC 548 NPN Transistor. Normally, We Use Multi meter To Check Continuity at Our Winding Centre & Shop. But We Haven’t Multi meter At Home or Other Workplaces. That Time, we Use This Simple Continuity Tester.

Connection:

First of all,Fit the Transistor on the DOT Board and Solder it. Then Connect the 10Ω Resistor on the Collector of the Transistor. Connect the LED's -ve to the 10Ω Resistor and LED's +ve to the Battery's +ve. Then Connect the Transistor's Emitter to the -ve of the Power Supply. Then we Need to Connect the Checking Point. +ve of the Power Supply is One Checking Lead and Then Connect the 4.7KΩ on the Base of the Transistor. The 2nd Checking Point is 4.7KΩ Resistor's 2nd Pin. Then You Connect the Battery,Thus the Circuit Fulfilled.

Working:

This Circuit Is Worked Similar That The 220 Volt AC Test Lamp, Which We Used For Check Continuity To The Electrical Spare Parts And Winding Of The Electrical Motors. In This Circuit, I Used The BC 547 NPN Transistor To Make Continuity Tester. The Base (2) Pin Of The Transistor Is Connected Seriously With The 47Ω Resistor. These Base Line of the Transistor When Connected To the +ve Of the Power Supply, The LED Light’s on.

Part List:

  1) BC 547 Transistor=1

  2)10Ω ¼w Resistor=1

  3)1KΩ ¼w Resistor=1

  4)5mm LED (any color) =1

  6) AA Battery=2

  7)2 Cell Holder=1

  8) Testing Probes=1 set (you got from old multi meter wire)

Uses of This Project:

This Project Is Used To Test Electronic Components Like LED,Resistor,Diode And Test Electrical Components Like Switch, Fan Winding Checking Etc,.
